Ingredients
1 kg chicken legs
1 cup balsamic vinegar
½ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar
3 sprigs fresh thyme
3 whole garlic cloves crushed
Method
Trim the chicken legs by chopping through the bone just above the bottom joint. Marinate the chicken legs in the balsamic vinegar, honey, brown sugar, thyme and garlic for 1 hour.
Place chicken legs into a roasting dish.
Place marinating ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Once boiled, pour over the chicken legs place in a preheated oven at 180 degree.
Cook the chicken legs until the liquid has almost evaporated and a sticky sauce remains. Turn the legs regularly during the cooking process.
