Broiler Farms |
A combination of company owned farms and contract farms are employed to produce Broiling Chickens.
85% of the Broiler Chickens are farmed within a 25 kilometre radius of the processing plant at Lockwood. Day old chicks are transported to the Broiler Farms by air conditioned truck, where they're programmed for production from 33 days to approximately 55 days of age.
Hazeldene's has extensive Free Range Farms at Murchison, Victoria located 100 kilometres east of the Lockwood site and 200 kilometres north at Sealake, Victoria.
