Biosecurity

All Hazeldene’s Chicken meat growers operate under the National Biosecurity Manual. We regularly monitor and review these policies to ensure we maintain the highest biosecurity regime possible.

The aim of biosecurity is to protect poultry from disease-causing agents or other contaminants that might be of public health significance.

We maintain strict biosecurity controls throughout our operations to prevent the introduction of infectious diseases into our poultry operation. Employees, contractors, transporters and suppliers of feed and equipment must follow Hazeldene’s biosecurity policy. All Hazeldene’s Chicken meat growers operate under the National Biosecurity Manual. We regularly monitor and review these policies to ensure we maintain the highest biosecurity regime possible. Over the last decade we have invested in infrastructure to significantly improve our biosecurity, and now crucial aspects of our operations, like our new breeding, rearing and hatching facilities, have strict shower-in requirements and delivery requirements. Our hatchery, by design, keeps all deliveries in and out completely separate.
